• Cont•on CMLRB 112 Permit Application
Agile Stone Syatema. Inc.
13. The DOW has recommended that fourwing saltbush be replaced with Rhus
trilobata (oakbrush sumac) Ribles SPP. (Currant) or Amelanchier SPP. (Mountain
Mologany) as a woody specie in your revegetation seed mix. The Division agrees
with this recommendation and requests that the one or more of these species be
included in the seed mix.
Azurite Inc. conferred with the DOW and the Division. The applicant has
been assured that your recommendations have been adopted in the seed mix
used in the application.
14. Your plan proposes two types of mulching to be used in revegetation and
indicates that straw or native hay mulch will be used on all areas except where
slopes are steeper, in which case hydromulch will be used. Provide a slope break
point that will determine which type of mulch will be used and a map or
discussion which will indicate to the Division where in the operation each type of
mulch will be used. Also, provide a discussion or map indicating where netting
will be used to hold straw/hay mulch in place.
There is no slope break for either hydromulching or mulching with straw.
As stated before was incorrect. The choice of mulch selected will be based on
results and costs. There are likewise no plans to use netting to hold mulch in
place unless ezperience shows that wind is a major consideration in retaining
mulch in place. This will only be known after a season or two of vegetation
attempts.
15. Your section 2.8 says that "When no longer required by the owner, the railroad
loading loop will be reclaimed by removing the rail and ties." Please change this
statement to read "When no longer required by the mine operator......".
The railroad loop track and associated stub and wye tracks will remain after
final reclamation as agreed with the shoreline railroad and tourist railroad
operators currently purchasing the adjacent mainline from UPRR.
16. Show on your reclamation map which roads aze to be left for use by the ranch.
Done. See Final Reclamation Map.
17. Your section 2.9 states in part that the method used to measure success
(reclamation) will be consistent with Rule 6 of the "Minerals Rules and
Regulations." Your application is for Construction Materials Reclamation Permit
and reclamation success will be determined by the Division in accordance with
I7
