F. Backfilling:
After pipe is installed, backfill to one foot above top of pipe
dith bank run gravel with a maximum aggregate size of 1/2 inch.
Backfi[1 in Layers not more than four inc}ies thick, using care
to avoid displacing pipe. Power tamp each layer to a density fo
95 percent.
For fill above one foot above top of pipe, proceed as follows:
In area to be covered by load-bearing subgrades, e. g., subgrades
for pavements or structures, complete backfill to elevation and
density of finish sub grade as spec ifi.ed above for fill.
In areas not to be covered by Load-bearing subgrades, complete
backfilling to density specified above for site filling. Mount
top of backfill slightly above fi~ii.shed grade. Use only suitable
materials. Do not use material wl5ich is frozen or too wet, or
• contains debris, large clods or large stones, or has been removed
as unsuitable. If available material which would otherwise be
suitable is frozen or wet at the time the trenci~es must be back-
filled, to avoid delay in other work on the project, backfill
with bank run gcavei or other acceptable granular material.
G. Flared ptetal End Sections:
Install flared metal end sections, provided by OW}dER, as speci-
fied above.
