I8. In the event the landscaping Incomes unsightly or considered to he a traffic hazard. The Department may require
that it be removed promptly by the Permittee and at no cost to the Department.
19. Landscaping shall not obstruct sight distance at any State Highwa}' access point.
20. A fully executed complete copy o(this permit must be on the job site with the contractor at all times during the
construction. Failure to rnmply with this or any other construction requirement may result in the immediate
suspension of work by order of the deparmtent inspector or the issuing awhority.
21. All materials. equipment, installation, construction and design, including the auxiliary lane(s) and intersection
improvement(s) within the State Highway shall be in accordance with [he following Department standard
references, as applicable:
(a) Roadway Design Manual
(b) Materials Manual
(c) Construction Manual
(d) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. latest edition
(e) Colorado Standard Plans (h4 8 S Standards)
(f) Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (M.U.T.C.D.) for Streets and Highways and the
Colorado Supplement thereto
• (g) A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, American Association of State
Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). latest edition
(h) Institute of Transportation Engineer's Trip Generation manual, latest edition

22. Survey markers or monuments found in state highway right-of-way must be preserved in their original positions.
Notify the Department at [phone] immediate)}' upon damage to or discovery of any such markers or
monuments at the work site. Any survey markers or monuments disturbed during the execution of this permit shall
he repaired and/or replaced immediate)}~ at the expense of the Permittee.
23. Thr Permittee. through a Colorado registered professional engineer shall provide design, construction, pavement
striping and signing plans to the Department for approval 45 days prior to commencement o(any work (or the
purposes of issuing a Notice to Proceed. Design plans must include but not limited to layout of speed change
• lanes, utility locations, present and proposed drainage, present and proposed right-of-way lines, present and
proposed traffic control drrices, and clear zone anal}'sis. [Par. 4.9(14 ), 2 CCR 601-I] The design must be done at a
