We
would like to provide an addendum to that report.
At the time the field work for that report was conducted. no accurate, large scale
topographic maps of the quarry were available. As a result, the height of the various
benches examined in the quarry were based on field estimates. Since chat report was
issued, a topographic map has been produced which more accurately reflects the bench
heights. Using the topo map, the maximum height of Benches 1, 2, and 3 is 115 ft, 61 ft,
and 71 ft respectroely. However, the variation in the height of the benches in noway alters
the conclusion of the report that at the time of the field examination, no mass failures were
evident or expected.
We hope that this information clarifies the data in the report and clears up any ccnflicts in
the project data.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact rne.
Regards,
LA~HtEaL~& Associates, Inc.
0 ~ (`~~
Dennis J.
