Ms. Christina Kamnikaz
Division of Minerals and Geology
October 11, 1996
Page 2
B) Exhibit D -Mining Plan
1) A series of 27 groundwater monitoring wells have been installed on the property between October, 1995
and July, 1996. These wells show the depth of groundwater vazies from zero to three feet below the
ground. The applicant will to continue monitoring these wells per Corps of Engineers requirements to
obtain accurate baseline information.
2) We agree to submit material and application specifications for the lining of augmentation Pond One
i.~'• prior to the construction of the pond. This information will include an adequate quality
~/ assurance/quality control plan for the construction.
C) Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
1) The thickness of the overburden replaced around the lakeshores will be 6 inches to 12 inches in depth.
We could have as much as 10,000 tons of recycled asphalt stored in the processing plant area. Because
recycled asphalt has commercial value, we will not use any of it as inert fill material. Any excess
recycled asphalt left at the site at the end of the operation will be used to surface ranch roads.
Six groundwater monitoring wells will be maintained during the life of the operation. One well will be
located at the south end, one well at the mid point, and one well at the north end. The remaining three
v wells will be located around the process plant area. The applicant will test these wells for depth of
/ groundwater, PH, temperature, and conductivity. The wells will be monitored quarterly for the first five
yeazs and annually thereafter. The monitoring information will be submitted to the DMG in [he annual
report.
4) Seed Mix
SEED TYPE LBS/AC PERCENT
Streambank Wheatgrass 3.0 20%
Smooth Brome Manchaz 0.75 5%
Meadow Foxtail 0.75 5%P
Alside Clover 1.5 10%
Western Wheatgrass 1.5 10%
Timothy l .5 10%
Slender Wheatgrass I.5 10%
Mountain Lupine 0.75 5%
Kentucky Bluegrass 0.75 5%
Red Fescue 1.5 10%
White Dutch Clover 1.5 10°ro
15.0 100%
