<br />Typical Profile: Delconey gravelly loam <br />Al (0-4"): Grayish brown (tOYR 5/2) gravelly loam, <br />dark grayish brown (tOYR 4/2) moist; weak fine granular <br />structure; soft, very friable, slightly sticky and <br />nonplastic; common roots; 25 percent fine gravel and shale <br />fragments; neutral (pH 7.0); clear smooth boundary. <br />B21t (4-9"): Light brownish gray (tOYR 6/2) loam, brown <br />to dark brown (tOYR 4/3) moist; moderate fine to medium <br />subangular blocky structure; slightly hard, very friable, <br />slightly sticky and slightly plastic; common roots; common <br />thin clay films on ped faces and in pores; mildly alkaline <br />(pH 7.5). clear smooth boundary. <br />• B22t (9-21"): Grayish brown (tOYR 5/2) loam, dark <br />grayish brown (tOYR 4/2) moist; moderate coarse angular <br />blocky structure; hard, firm, slightly sticky and slightly <br />plastic; few roots; common thin clay films on ped faces and <br />in pores; mildly alkaline (pH 7/6); gradual wavy boundary. <br />C (21-29"): Brown (tOYR 5/3) loam, brown to dark brown <br />(tOYR 4/3) moist, massive; slightly hard, friable, nonsticky <br />and nonplastic; few roots; slightly effervescent; moderately <br />alkaline (pH 8.0). <br />R (29+"): Sandy shale. <br />n <br />
