4-77 <br />• Permeability of the Havre soil is moderate. Available water <br />capacity is moderate to moderately high. Effective rooting <br />depth is 60 inches. Runoff is slow and the erosion hazard <br />for water is moderate. Wind erosion hazard is slight. <br />The unit is mainly used for rangeland and wildlife habitat. <br />It is also used for pasture. <br />The greasewood community consists of cheat grass, big sage, <br />and greasewood. The agricultural community consists of moun- <br />tain hay, grasses, legumes, and weeds. <br />The potential productivity is 1,600 and 700 pounds of air- <br />dry vegetation in favorable and unfavorable years, respec- <br />• tively. <br />This map unit is in capability unit IIIe dryland, IIe irrigated, <br />foothills swale range site.5 <br />4.7.4.7 Map Unit: NiBE - Nihill Loam, 5 to 35 Percent Slo^ <br />This map unit is on gently sloping to moderately steep fans, <br />draws, terraces and gullies. The slope is 5 to 30 percent. <br />The native vegetation is mainly big sage brush-shrubland <br />community. <br />Included in this map unit is about 20 percent Torriorthents <br />ranging from shallow to moderately deep in loamy skeletal <br />• SRangeland site established in Moffat County. <br />
