4-76 <br />• The potential productivity is 1,600 and 700 pounds of air-dry <br />vegetation in favorable and unfavorable years, respectively. <br />This map unit is in capability unit lllc dryland, llc irrigated, <br />when slopes are less than 2 percent; and llle dryland, lle irri- <br />gated when slopes are greater than 2 percent; foothills swale <br />range site.4 <br />4.7.4.6 Map Unit: HvAB - Havre Loam, 2 to 8 Percent Slopes <br />This map unit is on nearly level to gently sloping valley bottoms <br />and flood plains, but closer to the foothills than the Havre loam, <br />0 to 6 percent slopes (HrAB). The slope is 2 to 8 percent. The <br />• vegetation is mainly a greasewood-shrubland community and an <br />agricultural community. <br />Included in this map unit is about 15 percent Fruita fine sandy <br />loam and about 5 percent Glendive loam. Included areas make up <br />about 20 percent of the toal acreage. The Fruita soil is a member <br />of the fine-loamy, mixed, mesic family of the Typic Haplargids. <br />Typically, the surface layer of the Havre soil is a light brownish <br />gray or light gray loam about 6 inches thick. The substratum to <br />a depth of 60 inches or more is brown, grayish brown, or light gray <br />stratified loam, silty clay loam, or sandy loam. <br />4Range site established in Moffat County <br />
