4-74 <br />• The unit is mainly used for rangelnad and wildlife habitat. <br />It is also used for pasture. <br />Thy present plant community is mainly greasewood, summer-cypress <br />and chest grass. <br />The potential productivity is 1,800 and 900 pounds of air-dry <br />vegetation in favorable and unfavorable years, respectively. <br />This map unit is in capability unit llle dryland, lle irrigated, <br />foothills swale range sitel <br />4.7.4.4 Map Unit: GU - Gullied Land, Variable Slopes <br />This map unit is on nearly level to very steep flood plains and <br />stream banks. <br />Included in this map unit is about 10 percent Rivra loam variant <br />and about 5 percent Havre loam on the channels near Bullied areas. <br />Included areas make up about 15 percent o.f the total acreage. <br />Gullied land is a miscellaneous land type in which stream cutting <br />and varying degrees of runoff have left the land with deep gullies <br />and steep stream banks. Depth of gullying varies from 6 ft, to <br />over 15 ft. in some places in the mapping unit. <br />The unit is mainly used for rangeland and wildlife habitat. <br />This vegetation consists of big sage and greasewood. Some tamarisk <br />occur in wider, more stable areas. <br /> <br />Range site established for Moffat County. <br />
