4-73 <br />• <br />AC 0 to 3 inches; very gravelly clay loam, thin platy <br />structure; cracked when dry; 30 percent road fill <br />gravel; pH 7.7. <br />• <br />4.7.4.3. Map Unit: GdAB - Glendive, 0 to 8 Percent S1 <br />This map unit is on nearly level to moderately sloping flood plains <br />and valley bottoms. The slope is 0 to 8 percent. The native vege- <br />tation is a greasewood-shrubland community. <br />This unit is about 85 percent Glendive loam. Inclusions amount <br />to about 10 percent Havre loam and about 5 percent Fruita fine <br />sandy loam. These soils occur randonly within the map unit. In- <br />cluded areas make up about 15 percent of the toal acreage. A minor <br />soil, the Fruita soil, is a member of the fine-loamy, mixed, mesic <br />family of the Typic Haplargids. <br />Typically, the surface layer of the Glendive s <br />platy loam or sandy loam about 5 inches thick. <br />pale brown to light yellowish brown fine sandy <br />inches thick.
