Revision to Applicant's Proposal <br />If the plan is approved the applicant will carry out stipula[Sons <br />identified in section D. <br />D. Proposed Special S[fpulations <br />I. Four sites (SJ1F401, 402, 403 and 404) recorded and recommended for <br />further testing in 1975, require further investigation before final <br />- eligibility determination can be made. OSt7 will field check these <br />- sites,•updating tl~e site(s) status, and make final eligibility <br />- reconmenrlations. The field check will be undertaken at the earliest <br />opportunity when weather allows accessibility and ground visabil- <br />ity.' Until this time, these sites shall be protected from impacts <br />by avoidance. Should one or more of these sites be determined elig- <br />able for listing to the NRHP the operator shall confer with and ob- <br />Cain the approval of OStt and the Colorado SIIPO, concerning the <br />development and Smplementation of mitigation measures as appropri- <br />ate. <br />2. If during tl~e course of mining operations, previously unidentified <br />cultural resources are discovered, the applicant shall ensure that <br />the site is no[ disturbed and shall notify~[I~e'0511. The operator <br />sha11 insure that Cite resource(s) is properly evaluated in terns of <br />[lie Nat tonal I:e~ister of historic Places (NRIIP) eligibility criteria <br />(J6 CFR 60.6). Should a resource be de[erinined eligible for listing <br />to [he IJRIIF, chc operator shall ronfcr with and obtain [hc approval <br />of [he OSI1 and [he Slll'0 concerning the development and implemen[a- <br />tfon of m[tlf;a[ton mcasurr_s as appropriate. If previously unplanned <br />surface riisturbing :~ctivitles arc necessary, rite applicant shall <br />submit .~ just ificatinn and naps showing the proposed disturbance to <br />the OSIf for their approval prior [o the commencement of these ac[iv- <br />Ities. <br />
