Impermeable ground cloths would be used under the drill rigs and petroleum product <br />containers to reduce the potential for petroleum spills. <br />Vegetation, Range and Fire Management <br />1. The licensee would be responsible for controlling and eradicating noxious weed <br />infestations on the drill sites and access roads until release of the Colorado State -held <br />reclamation bond. The licensee would be responsible for controlling and eradicating <br />noxious weed infestations on all project disturbance areas from the date of discovery up <br />to the point of release of the CDMG reclamation bond and associated reclamation <br />liability. Any herbicides used must be EPA and USDA -FS- approved and would be <br />applied at the recommended rates. <br />2. A timber contract would be required and the Licensee shall be charged the value of the <br />trees removed. Controlled felling techniques would be used. Any slash generated from <br />tree removal operations shall be lopped and scattered to a maximum depth of 2 feet. <br />3. Reseeding would be completed using a certified weed free source of seed. The Licensee <br />would be responsible for controlling spread of, and eradicating noxious weeds until final <br />reclamation is accepted by the USDA -FS. Any hay or straw used shall be certified as <br />weed free.
