No process water discharge will be wvaed under this permit or authorized by certification for discharges with the mineral mining <br />and processing point source caugory of 40 CFR 436 - subparts E (gypsum), F (asphaltic mineral), G (asbestos and <br />wolhtstonite), ] (barite), K (fluorspaz), L (salines from brine lakes); M (borax), N (potash), O (sodium sulfate), V (bentonite), <br />W (magtlesiu), X (diatomic), Y (jade). Z (novtactilite), AF (tripoli). <br />3. Flow Measttrine Device <br />If not already a part of the permitted facility, within ninety (90) days after the effective date of the certification, a flow measuring <br />device shall be installed to give representative vahres of e131trent quantities at the respective discharge points. A flow n,.•cn..'ng <br />device will be applicable at all desigpaud discharge points ofprocess water. The flow may also be determined by using the pump <br />capacity multiplied by the length of time the pump is operated, if the accuracy requirement (see below) is met <br />When the facility is not operating, and no discharge is occurring (e.g, if it is shut down for the winter), a flow measuring device is <br />not required to be on size. <br />At the request ofthe Water Quality Control Division, or the Environmental Prouction Agency, the puminee shall showpmofofthe <br />accuracy ofsnyflow-measuring device rued in obtaining data submitted in the monitoring report. The flow-,,,.ae„r;,,g device must <br />indicate values within ten (10) percent of the actual flow being discharged <br />C. EFFLUENT LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS - STORMWATF1t DISCHARGE <br />(This section (I.C) applies to all facilities with a potential discharge of stormwater.) <br />1. Genera] Limitations <br />a. Stormwaur discharges from the industrial activity shall not cause or threaten to cause pollution, contamination, or <br />degradation of any Stan waters. <br />b. There shall be no discharge of sanitary wastewaura from toilets or relaud facilities. <br />c. No chemicals aze to be added to the discharge unless the permit issuing authority grants permission for the use of a specific <br />chemical In granting the use of such chemicals, additional limitations and monitoring requirements maybe imposed. <br />d Bulk storage sWCttaes for petrolet~products and other chemicals shall have adequate protection to prevent anyreasonable <br />loss of the maurial from tmtering discharged waters or waters of the Stau. <br />e. All dischargers must comply witlt the ]awful requirements of counties; drainage districts and other state or local agencies <br />regarding any discharges of stormwater to storm drain systems or other watercourses under thew jurisdiction. <br />
