<br />~~ <br />l4) There will be no refuse, acid-forming or toxic producing <br />materials to be mined or disposed of. The only material in- <br />volved will be the clay. which i~~ basically inert chemically. <br />(5) There will be no drill or auger holes to be a part of <br />this mining operation which could possibly cause harmful or <br />polluting drainage. Since this is. an open pit operation, <br />there will be no adits or shafts to be sealed. <br />(6l Backslopee. will be finished during mining at 3H:SV or <br />flatter. Since this is strictl a dr 't operation. there <br />will be no lakes, ponds, swimming Pools or water involvement. <br />l71 The landowner and operator's choice of reclamation is <br />rangeland. The reclaimed area will be at~le to be easily <br />traT~sversed by farm machinery, but this i~~ not essential to <br />the final use. <br />6.1 Water <br />1. Hydrology and water quality <br />This: dry pit operation will have no effect on water rights or <br />hydrology of the affected land or surrounding area both dur- <br />ing mining and after mining during reclamation. <br />(a) Since there are no er.isting water rights to be injured <br />or affected by this operation, it should not be a conflict <br />with applicable water laws. <br />(b) This dry pit operation will be in compliance with ap- <br />plicable federal and Colorado Water Quality laws. and <br />regulations. The applicant /has~overed this operation under <br />a Bric}: In~~titute of AmericalGrOU Stormwater Dischar e °er- <br />mit. 1024. <br />Icl There will be no dredge and fill activities with this <br />operation to come under the purview of Colorado and -Federal <br />requirements. <br />(d) Thera will be no temporary ur lar;e siltation structures <br />to be removed from drainways after disturbed areas are <br />revegetated and stabilised. <br />2. Earth dams. <br />None are necessary or proposed for this operation. <br />
