• 7. On-going moisture/density testing and strength testing of gob are recommended. We
recommend continuing with a compaction specification of minimum 90% of the
maximum dry density as determined by the standard Proctor. We also recommend
implementation of a moisture content specification allowing moisture contents no greater
than 4% above the optimum moisture content as determined by the standard Proctor.
Buckhorn Geotech must be notified if a different gob pile geometry than evaluated and discussed
in this report is considered. Also, if gob composition, moisture content, or placement techniques
change, or any other assumption presented in this report is not valid, we must be notified to
evaluate the impact on the stability of the gob pile.
7.0 REFERENCES
Buckhorn Geotech, Inc.
