Ames performed confirmatory drilling activities associated with the Phase Nb construction azea on
known underground working UG-263.
Ames continued placement of Coazse Shaft Backfill (CSB) into "Deep" underground workings UG-
204.
Ames continued placement of Concrete Plug (CP) concrete into "Deep Shafts" UG-204 and UG-206.
Ames placed three feet of concrete in accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail I.
Ames placed Cemented Rockfill (CR) at UG-247 by tapering the working and placing 7 feet of CR in
accordance with IFC Drawing 12, Detail 1.
Ames constructed a geogrid cap over UG-265. Ames placed two layers of geogrid in accordance with
the drawings and specifications.
Ames resumed SF blast drilling in the Phase Nb at Temporary Diversion Channel and blasted on May
13a' at 16:30.
Phase IVc
Ames placed Structural Fill (SF) in the Phase Nc azea at the saddle berm neaz UG-242. Structural Fill
materials were placed in horizontal lifts typically not exceeding 2 feet in loose thickness. A Caterpillaz
CS563C roller provided compactive effort, while a Caterpillaz water wagon provided moisture
conditioning when needed. Ames used Structural Fill to backfill over remediated "Deep" working UG-
257.
• Ames performed excavation remediation activities of known underground working UG-279. This
working was observed and verified to be a "Deep" as defined in the drawings and will be remediated
accordingly.
Ames performed confirmatory drilling activities associated with the Phase Nc construction area on
known underground working UG-279.
Ames continued blast drilling of underground workings within Phase Nc at UG-279. Ames blasted
underground workings delineated by confirmation drilling at UG-253 on May 9`" at 12:30 and at UG-
279 on May 14a' at 16:30.
(See Attachment A for approximate construction locations for all Phase N azeas.)
Field Monitoring and Testing Activities
Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IV earthworks. All construction
materials and soil materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in
accordance with project specifications. Removal of oversized and deleterious material from all fill
areas was observed. Golder conducted temperature measurements of fill material prior to placement.
Golder observed recontouring of the Phase III ore slope. Ore was regraded to approximately 4H:1 V
• Phase 1W 5l Mays-IB.dw Golder Associates Inc.
