Exhibit C - Mining Plan
1. Beginning 8c ending dates:
Nlining will commence approximately May 1, 1989. This of
course assumes that all required local and state permits have
been obtained by that date. Mining would be conducted during
only a portion of the year due to seasonal weather constraints. A
typical season based on past years would be estimated to be April
15 through November 15. Frorn November 15 to April 15 snow cover,
ground frost, etc. will prer_lude mining operations.
Based upon twelve (12} to fourteen (14} foot depths of
deposit and 6~,0G3G3 to 763,000 tons per year removed, the 9.9 acre
site would be mined for approximately five (5} to six (5} years.
Actual depths and other variables may affect the total time of
the p'.^oject. Present estimates, however, would he for an ending
date of November 15, 199.`x.
2. :Popsoil:
Five test holes were done on the site for determination of
depth and extent of deposit, ground water, etc.
variee; from two (Z) to twelve (12) inches. The
indicate a depth of deposit from just beneath t
twelve (12} to fourteen (14) feet. Water table
approximately six (6) feet, but can be expected
variation.
Depth of topsoil
test holes
',e topsoil down to
was at
to show seasonal
The existing topsoil will be removed and will be stor_kpiled
temporarily onsite. Mining would commence at the south end of
the site and proceed in strips of 30 to 35 foot in width, to a
