Central Appalachia WWTF Water Quality Assessment
CO-003
Figure A-1
Study Area
LEGEND
State
- County
O LakelPOndlOcean
- Street
Expressway
Highway
Connector
S Stream
® Military Area
® National Park
Other Park
City
County
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 mi
Scale 1:182932 88
~a~eraQe--true scale depends on monitor resolution0 km
Source: US Census
Bureau TIGER
Mapping Service
Based on WQCD general approaches, there aze no dischazges composed entirely of surface
runoff water evaluated in this assessment. This is because automatic discharges of surface runoff
water will not occur during periods of critical low flow as surface runoff water only occurs
during precipitation events, and any manual releases of surface runoff water dischazges from
ponds will be required to meet the assimilative capacities set forth in this WQA.
The ratio of the low flow of the unnamed tributaries to East Salt Creek to the Central Appalachia
WWTF design flow is 0:1. No other facilities discharge to these receiving waters, thus no other
upstream or downstream facilities had an impact on the assimilative capacities available to the
Centrai Appalachia WWTF. However, due to lack of available dilution, analyses indicate that
assimilative capacities aze extremely limited.
Information used in this assessment includes data gathered from the Central Appalachia W WTF, the
WQCD, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS),
Appendix A Page 2 of 9 Draft
