b. Wildlife
During the different phases of reclamation the new
and diversified revegetation will offer good
forage (especially in the winter when operations
will be curtailed)for the wildlife in the area.
It has been our experience that various wildlife
species will leave during construction but return
during the operations phase. No rare or endangered
species have been identified in the area.
c. Water
All surface water runoff will be controlled by
utilizing appropriate ponds, berms, ditches, etc.
Revegetation will retard soil erosion. During
postmining reclamation, care will be taken to
ensure minimal soil erosion and or disruption of
the hydrological balance. Some specific steps
will be heavy revegetation, gravel and rock in
steep areas, etc.
