• • Page 2
EXHIBIT C ~H~w~~/ ~r~
PROPOSED SCHOOLFIELD PIT
Water to be used in the project for dust control will be
obtained from a commercial well and will be transported in by
a water truck. According to existing water wells in the sur-
rounding area, it is approximately 300 feet to water. As
water will not be used other than for dust control, there
should be no problem with sediment containment or run-off and
as such no infringement or injury to any existing water rights.
There will be no storage of hazardous materials or chemi-
cals on site. Equipment will be refueled on a daily or as needed
basis by pumping from a fuel truck.
Front end loaders and dozers will be used to do the main
excavation. The gravel will be processed on site by the use of a
screen and / or crusher. There is no anticipated need for a chem-
ical surfacant in the processes. There will be minimal if any
effects to the hydrological balance of the area or surroundings.
There will be no off-site damage, slopes will be confined to 4 ~'µ~
W ~ 7
to 1 or less so that stable configuration will remain for the ~° u
proposed future land use.
It is entirely possible that heavy snows and severe weather
will close operations for 6 months at a time and it is felt that
this permit should not be required to file a formal notice of
cessation in these cases.
