Aprii 22, 1999 •
- Well purging
- Sample collection
- Sample filVation
- Field QA/QC procedures
• Page 21
Clean, decontaminated equipment will be used for all sampling activities. Decontamination
will be performed in accordance with the procedures given in Appendix D, Standard Operating
Procedure for Equipment Decontamination.
6.2 Calibration Procedures and Frequency
All instruments and equipment used during sampling and analysis will be operated,
calibrated, and maintained according to the manufacturer's guidelines and recommendations aswell
as criteria set forth in the applicable analytical methodology references. Calibration, operation, and
maintenance will be performed by personnel properly trained in these procedures. Documentation
of all routine and special maintenance and calibration will be maintained in an appropriate field log
book.
Field instrumentation will be calibrated on-site at the beginning of each sampling day, or at
any time that instrument readings are questionable. Calibration of the pH, conductivity, and
temperatwe meters will be performed as outlined in Appendix C, Standard Operating Procedure for
Groundwater Sampling.
6.3 Data Reduction, Validation, and Reporting
6.3.1 Data Reduction
Data reduction includes all processes that change the numeric value of the raw data. All field
data aze generated by directly reading the instrumentation (no calibration curves are generated).
Therefore, no reduction of field data wilt be performed.
All laboratory data reduction will be performed in accordance with the appropriate
methodology and presented to the BLM. The laboratory data will be reviewed to verify that the
appropriate units are assigned toallconcentrations. Additionally, further data reductionmayinclude
graphs.
6.3.2 Daln Va(idaliore
Data will be evaluated for precision, accuracy, and completeness. Validation of field data
will be performed by an internal documented annual procedures audit.
Agapito Associates, Inc.
