<br />The aggregate in this area in other pits ranges from 6' - 20' in depth and indications aze that this <br />operation will be the same. <br />The Cascajo series soil has no overburden. As cited in the SCS report the top 4" - 8" contains 60% <br />gravel and cobbles plus some humus which constitutes the growth media. <br />(ii) Nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material to be mined in sedimentary <br />deposits: <br />The SCS report states as follows: "This soil is a source of commercial grave]. In many places near <br />Pueblo the gravel is strip mined down to the underlying shale." <br />(G) Identify the primary and secondary commodities to be mined and describe the intended <br />use: <br />The primary commodity to be mined is sand and gravel construction aggregates. It will primarily <br />be used for road material backfill, leach rock, possibly concrete and other assorted uses.
