(E) An approximate timetable to describe the mining operation and the relationship between
mining and reclamation:
As stated above, reclamation will follow mining and processing as closely as operationally feasible.
Present plans are to start reclamation within 2-3 years after sufficient operating room has been made
available and to follow as closely as mining continues. There will be little backsloping since the pit
floor will daylight on the perimeters in most azeas except on the north perimeter south of St. Chazles
Road, which will be backsloped at 3H:1V.
(i) An estimate of the periods of time which will be required for the various stages or phases
of the of the operation:
There will be a maximum of 30 acres affected at any one time. Mining will start in the NE1/4
N W 1/4 as stated in (D) above. This is the smallest of the areas, and mining will probably take 5 -
]0 years. The second azea to be mined, which is west of the first area, will probably take an
additional 8 - 15 years to mine. Mining will proceed southwest into Section 21. This is the lazgest
area and could have 30 yeazs of reserves. Predicting business demand is difficult and compounds
the problem of predicting the time period.
CRS 34-321-112 (b) (VIII) of the Act states: "A timetable estimating the periods required for the
various stages of the mining operation -the operator shall not be required to meet the timetable, nor
shall the timetable be subject to independent review by the Board or office."
(ii) A description of the size and location of each area to be worked during each phase:
A maximum of 30 acres will be affected at any one time in each area. Mining will probably occupy
15-20 acres with stockpiling and processing another 3 - 5 acres. The balance will be in vazious
stages of final reclamation
(iii) Outline the sequence in which each stage of the operation will be carried out:
Mining will start on the east area at the southern edge of the deposit and move north to the setback
from St. Chazles Road, and then mine west and south daylighting at the pit perimeter. Reclamation
will be an ongoing part of the operation, following mining and stockpiling as close as operationally
feasible..
(F) A map in Exhibit C may be used along with the narrative to present the following
information:
(i) Nature, depth and thickness of the deposit to be mined and thickness and type of
overburden:
D-2
