use would not occur for the foreseeable future, an unlikely event, then
• the reveaetation plan described above wo~ild he applied as an alternate
plan and the area, at least temporarily would become part of the
4ildlife area.
Because the application of the use would not occur until the
middle of the next century precise planning of the site is rather
pointless. As a minimum, though, the site would be prepared for
immediate assumption by a developer. As a maximum it would become a
part of the wildlife area and the industrial use at least temporarily
dropped from the plan.
EXPERIMENT AREA - A small area in a corner of Tract C where no mining
would occur would be turned into an experimental area. This would
probably begin in late 1980. Experiments with the proposed seed mixture,
shrub planting and transplanting, and other reclamation studies done.
•
The purpose of the area is to, in effect, fine tune the reclamation
plan prior to major application on the quarry itself. F?keen the studies
are complete in about 10 years the area would he reclaimed as part of
the wildlife area.
ACCESS ROAD - The access road would remain after reclamation as access
to the industrial site and probably other developments east of the
mine area.

P-E-13
