5. The applicant states that a fence is located on the property line south of the project site, and is <br />owned by the Department of Corrections. In accordance with Rule 6.3.2(b), please identify <br />this fence on one of the exhibits. <br />Rule 6.3.3 Exhibit C- Minine Plan <br />6. Please state the overall depth of the pit and the anticipated slope of the mining face. Please <br />state the proximity of mining to the buried Bray-Allen Pipe currently in place. <br />7. Please inform the Division as to how topsoil piles will be protected to prevent wind and <br />water erosion and include the dimensions of the piles and a temporary seed mixture. If a <br />seed mixture is proposed, please state the rate in PLS/acre, application method and timing of <br />seeding. <br />8. A small entrance road is depicted from the Moltz Ranch Road into the mine site. Please state <br />if this is an existing road, or will be a road constructed to access the proposed mine site. If <br />the road will be constructed or upgraded to access the mine site, it must be included within <br />the pernut azea. <br />9. The applicant references the "new river access road" that will be used as a haul road to the <br />material extraction site. It is further stated that components of the road aze located on Exhibit <br />E. The Division was unable to locate this road on either of the exhibits. Please locate this <br />road on the exhibit. <br />10. Rule 6_3 3 requires the ap lipp cant to speci the dimensions of any exi~tthg 4r~x4pos-ed_ <br />roads that will be used for the mining operation. Any improvements necessary on existing <br />roads and the specifications to be used in the construction of the new roads needs to be <br />described in the permit and included as part of the permitted acreage. The applicant will also <br />need to address reclamation of any new or improved roads constructed on site.' Please <br />specify the construction methods, dimensions and the drainage/runoff conveyance structures <br />of all new and upgraded roads. Also, please provide information regarding t}re design of the <br />drainage/runoff structures to evaluate the structure sizing. <br />11. Soil maps submitted by the applicant depict a road that runs through the property in a north- <br />south direction that may possibly serve as access to surrounding property owners. The road .y, <br />will be mined through under the proposed mine plan. Please state who owns the road, <br />describe how access to surrounding property owners will,be affected, and describe if there <br />aze any easements in regazd to the road. <br />12. The applicant notes mining in Phases I-N. Please include these phases on the mine plan <br />exhibit. <br />13. The applicant states that all mining will occur above the groundwater table. Please state how <br />high above the groundwater table mining will occur. <br />14. Rule 6.3.3(h) requires the applicant to specify how much water will be used in conjunction <br />with the operation, and the source of this water. Please state the source of water used for <br />haul road dust control. <br />15. Please state if the operation falls within the 100-yeaz floodplain of the Arkansas River. <br />Please provide the flood elevations(s) to be expected under a `S~vorst case" flooding scenario <br />
