<br />(1) County and State Air Pollution Regulations whichever are most , <br />stringent now or hereafter adopted shall be strictly observed. <br />(Reference is made, but not by way of limitation, to Sections <br />4-2 and 4-5 of the Pitkin County Air Pollution Regulations as <br />now adopted or hereinafter amended). Violations shall be subject <br />to fines and/or orders to cease and desist operations. <br />(2) Sprinkler systems for pollution control shall be kept in good <br />repair and function properly at all times. <br />(3) Operations shall be conducted in such a manner as to prevent <br />damage to forest and agricultural resources by air pollutants <br />resulting from such operation. (See section 9 of Appendix B). <br />F. Water Supply <br />Water for the plant operations and dust control will be supplied from an <br />existing well on site which was appropriated for this industrial use. <br />(See Appendix C). <br />G. Sewage Disposal <br />A portable septic disposal system will be installed by the Contractor for <br />the three (3) month period of operations and will meet all applicable State <br />and County regulations. (See section 7 of Appendix B). " <br />H. Wildlife Preservation <br />The Elam site is not classified as winter range, and negligible amounts of <br />grasses are available on the site for wildlife feed. <br />I. Hazard and Resource Area <br />The Elam site is not located in any geologic hazard area, floodplain, <br />riparian zone, wildlife, or radiation area as depicted on the Colorado <br />State University Environmental Resources Maps. (See Appendix D). <br />J. Soils and Erosion <br />The soil types in this site consist of old alluvial fan deposits (Qf) and <br />gravel (Qgb) as shown on the Geologic Plap Woody Creek Quadrangle Pitkin <br />County, prepared by the U.S. Geological Survey, 1972. This material is an <br />excellent source of road construction and asphalt aggregate material. Erosion <br />is not a problem, due to the short term of operation and the proposed <br /> <br />
