91 <br />All pit disturbance in the shop area will occur within the Shawano <br />• and Disturbed Lands map units. There will be no disturbance in the <br />Persayo map unit. <br />REX.'~II~NDID '1bPSOII. SALVAGE <br />5810-Shawano. Salvage depths for the sknp area soils will be ident- <br />cial to those recrncrended by Fly and Associates for the west pit area <br />soils (see Tab 9, Table 2; Tab 9, Attachment 1, Section ii; and <br />Stripping Isopach and 7bpsoil Stockpile Map, Exhibit 9-2). Approxi- <br />.. <br />mately (20) inches of fair quality "A", "B", and "C" horizon surface <br />and substratum soil will be salvaged. The major limitations for the <br />soil aze the fine textures (sandy clay loam to clay loam) and para- <br />lithic contact with interbedded sandstones and shales. <br />DL -Disturbed Lands O>mplex. The topsoil suitability rating for this <br />map unit is poor or unsuitable due to prior mining disturbance limi- <br />tations. No topooil salvage is recamiended from this map unit. <br />l J <br />ANTICIPATED TDPSOII, BUDGED <br />The following balances were calculated to determine the quantity of <br />topsoil to be salvaged, the shop reclamation area that will require <br />topsoil replacement and the anticipated revised Nucla Mine topsoil <br />replacenent depth. The total mine disturbance area that will require <br />topsoil replacement is: <br />111.8 acres (Tab 9, Attaclmient 1, Section 3) <br />+ 29.6 ages (shop reclamation area) <br />- 6.7 acres (shop area previously accounted for) <br />- 4.2 acres (shop azea soils not to be disturbed) <br />130.5 acres (7bta1) <br /> <br />
