This work involved the collection of
detailed information on the attitudes of bedding planes, joints
and other fractures in the rock mass. Other information on joint
and bedding plane roughness and filling materials, lithology (or
rock type), as well as other descriptive information was also
obtained and will be found in the outcrop descriptions on Figures
2 through 5. For this investigation, all the information
collected was through surface mapping techniques. No subsurface
exploration program of any sort was conducted as part of this
investigation as the site has been previously extensively drilled
and its subsurface data was used in .this stability analysis.
5
