The operator is prepared to waste part of the <br />overburden from Mining Area II against th south <br />embankment. Ten percent of the overburde from MA-II <br />(9690 cubic yards) would provide a 5:1 sl a along <br />the south embankment for a distance of 150 feet. <br />4. The operator intends to follow the resoili g, <br />mulching, fertilization, and seeding reco endations <br />pertaining to grasses, as provided by the oil <br />Conservation Service. The operator does n t intend <br />to selectively strip or stockpile topsoil ~y soil <br />unit, as suggested, due to the complex bou daries of <br />the soil units in the area. The operator ~ntends to <br />follow SCS recommendations with regard to ree and <br />shrub planting, with the qualifications st ted in <br />the next paragraph. The shoreline will be graded to <br />a 3:1 slope from at least five feet above o ten <br />feet below the ultimate water surface. I <br />5. The SCS suggests species, locations, and s~acing for <br />tree and shrub planting in Exhibit AA of t e <br />application. The operator intends to follow the SCS <br />suggestions, except where their timing wil <br />interfere with mining operations. All pla~tings <br />will be completed by the time of final rec amation. <br />C. Exhibit G - Water Information <br />1. After due consideration, the operator has ~ecided to <br />mine the deposit wet, in the manner descri ed above <br />in paragraph A-2. The operator foresees n need for <br />dewatering ponds. <br />2. No dewatering operations are contemplated. <br />3.
