<br />EXHIBIT - J <br />VEGETATION INFORMATION <br /> <br />Seahorse Ranch West Gravel Pit. Vegetation in the mining azea varies with in the mine location. A break <br />down of vegetation by location is as follows. <br />1. Location, area "A", north of the road. This area is bordered to the north by the Tomichi Creek. <br />The creek bed set back areas contain Cottonwood and Aspen trees, willows, native Bass and <br />herbaceous wetland plant species. The river bank and wetlands areas that are with in the set back <br />areas are to remain undisturbed. With in the mining are the vegetation consists of native grass and <br />a limited amount of herbaceous wetland plant species. The wetland areas that are with in the <br />mining area are to be mitigated under thejurisdiction of the Departrnent Of The Army, Corps of <br />Engineers 404 permit. <br />2. Location, area `B" and "C", south and west of the road. The Tomichi Creek borders a small <br />portion of this area to its north and east, north border. The set back area along the creek contains <br />Aspen trees, native grass and herbaceous wetland plant species. The set back areas for the <br />remaining borders of these locations contain native grasses and a limited amount of native <br />willows. All se[ back areas are [o remain undisturbed. With in the mining area the vegetation <br />consists of native grasses (haymeadows), and a very limited amount of herbaceous wetland plant <br />species. The wetland areas that are with in the mining azea are to be mitigated under jurisdiction <br />of the Department Of The Army, Corps of Engineers 404 permit. <br />3. The haymeadows with in the mining area are low production meadows. These meadows produce <br />an average of 1.0 tons of hay per acre per year. By comparison the remaining haymeadows with <br />in the Seahorse Ranch produce an average of from 1.6 to 1.9 tons of hay per acre per year. <br />
