<br />EJQiIBIT - I <br />SOILS INFORMATION <br />Seahorse Ranch West Gravel Pit. Soils with in the mining site consist of the following. <br />I. Topsoil. 5.28 acres of the mining site consisting of locations to the north and to the south of the <br />road does not contain any topsoil The remaining acreage has topsoil ranging from 2" in depth to <br />14" in depth. The topsoil is to be removed and stored at the site. As reclamation of the site takes <br />place, this topsoil is to be used in the reclamation process. At present the azeas containing topsoil <br />are haymeadows and pasturelands. <br />2. The soil in the 5.28 acres of mining area and that which is below the acreage containing topsoil <br />consists of sand, rock and gravel (pit run). At a location to the very west border of azea "C", a <br />small deposit of clay exists. <br />3. The history of these locations is that over hundreds of years the Tomichi Creek has wandered <br />throughout out this area and has established a major deposit of riverbed materials such as sand, <br />rack and gravel. <br />4. Via the use of test drilling and the mining of a similar location 0.5 miles to the east of this site, it <br />has been det~nined that these materials exist in depths in excess of 35 feet. <br />
