When possible, local contractors would be hired for earthwork and general <br />reclamation and demolition work, see reclamation schedule, see Figure k2. <br />The overall reclamation of the Orchard Valley Mine would include the con- <br />veyor route reclamation, It is anticipated that fewer than 30 workers would <br />wine trom outside the area. <br />Economic Feasibility <br />Analysis in Appendix "C" shows that the overland conveyor alternative is not <br />economically feasible at this time. An estimated capital investment of <br />$6,800,000 would be required, The overland conveyor is more economic than <br />the short conveyor alternative. <br />The costs of the conveyor compounded over specific periods of time show <br />truckiny favorable to 1.43 million tons per year for 25 years.
