Permeability
is moderate and available water capacity is
high. Surface runoff is slow, water erosion
hazard is slight and soil blowing hazard is
moderate. This soil is used mainly for non-
irrigated cropland.
49 VIe VIe Julesburg - Eckley Complex, 3 to 9 percent
slopes.
The Julesburg soil is a deep, well drained
soil with a grayish brown fine sandy loam
2ange Sites: surface texture and a dark grayish brown,
Julesburg - Sandy Plains" grayish brown and brown sandy loam subsoil.
-ckley - Gravel Breaks Permeability is moderately rapid and the
available water capacity is moderate. Surface
runoff is slow, erosion hazard is slight and
the soil blowing hazard is moderate. The
Eckley soil is a deep, well drained soil with a
dark grayish brown gravelly loam surface texture
and a dark brown and brown gravelly sandy clay
loam subsoil. Permeability is moderate and
available water capacity is moderate. Surface
runoff is rapid and erosion hazard is high.
These soils are best suited for grazing.
EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
Landscape Design: After mining is complete, the area will be shaped and
graded. Where possible, final grading should be done on the contour to conserve
moisture and reduce erosion. Slopes should be rut or filled so that no slope is
greater that 3:1. Seeding success will increase if lesser slopes remain. The
land will be scarified to a depth of 6 inches following grading to provide better
cohesion between topsoil and the graded area.
