Dept. of P!atural ~esc~rc^~ <br />Upon approval, tfie proposed sand and gravel pit will be located within the <br />following leased land: The SE'; of Section 3, Township 9 'forth, Range ~B 4Jest <br />of the 6th Principal Meridian, Logan County, Colorado. <br />EXHIBIT B - Mining Plan <br />Upcn approval, the proposed sand and gravel pit will be operated as an open <br />pit. Field inspection of the proposed site area by the local Soil Conservation <br />Service District Conservationist has indicated that there is intermittent topsoil <br />at the site, thus permitting, where practical, the stripping and stockpiling <br />of topsoil for future reclamation efforts. This proposed site will be excavated <br />with conventional equipment. Specifically, the following equipment is owned <br />and operated by Logan County, and could be used individually or in combination <br />at the site: D7 Caterpillar; W26 John Deere Loader; 125 B Michigan Loader; <br />93U Caterpillar Loader; D6 Caterpillar Bulldozer, and 645 D John Deere Loader. <br />Following extraction, the sand and gravel from the site will be screened at <br />thE~ site. Logan County owns and operates the following screening equipment, <br />wh ch may be used individually or in combination: Abco Screener; Peerless <br />Screener; and a Coleman Screener. <br />Fo'lowing screening, the sand and gravel from the site may be stockpiled <br />fo•• future use. If stockpiling becomes necessary, it will be in the eastern <br />portion of the permit area. Any stockpiling will be within the permit area. <br />Access to the proposed site will be by way of an existing haul road, which <br />wi l be maintained by Logan County. The haul road will link the site to a <br />county road, and will not traverse any cropland. A fence and gate will be <br />constructed where the haul road intersects with the county road. This should <br />dissuade entrance to the site by unauthorized persons. <br />EXHIBIT C - Ma <br />Se' attached map. <br />EXHIBIT D - Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation and Soils Information <br />Wildlife: Coyote, deer, jack rabbit, cottontail rabbit, lark bunting <br />and meadowlark are at some time present at this site. <br />
