Section 616.150 (d) Continued. <br />• <br />Maximum Operating Speed 40 mph <br />Maximum Sustained Crade 8% <br />Minimum Padius 650 feet <br />Minimum Length Vertical <br />Curve 350 feet <br />Roadway Width 100 feet <br />Section 816.151 Roads: Class I: Loc ation. <br />(a) Class I Roads shall be located, insofar as possible, on ridges or <br />on the most stable available slopes to minimize erosion. <br />l,Therever possible, the proposed Class I Roads, Haul Roads D and E, <br />are located on ridges which have been determined to offer the <br />greatest stability. Haul Road D will not have sideslope problems, <br />but Haul Road E will have to be stepped for approximately 500 feet <br />due to steep sideslope s. The natural sideslopes are never more <br />_ than 30 percent, and all roadway drainage will be released below <br />the toe of the fill by the use of culverts. <br />(b) No part of any Class I Road shall be located in the channel of an <br />intermittent or perennial stream unless spec ificaliy approved b}• the <br />regulatory authority. <br />As can be seen from Energy Piines No. 1 and 2 Roads (Map 35) and <br />Eckman Park Roads (Map 36), all existing and proposed Class I <br />Roads are located well awav from the channels of intermittent or <br />perennial streams. <br />(c) Stream fords are prohibited unless they are specifically approved <br />by the regulatory authority as temporary routes during periods of construc- <br />tion. The fords shall not adversely affect stream sedimentation or <br />fish, wildlife, and related environmental values. All other stream <br />• crossings shall be made using bridges, culverts or other structures <br />816-177 <br />
