Section 816.1.`,1 (c) Ccntinued.
• designed, constructed and maintained to meet the requirements of
30 CFP. 817.153.
All stream crossings shall be made using culverts per 30 CFR
816.153 (c) located as shown on Energy Afines No. 1 and 2 Roads
(Map 35) and Eckman Park Roads (Map 36). Dfost of Energy Fuels'
road construction is done during the dry summer and fall months
at which time there are no flowing streams in the proposed road
construction areas. This construction will not aggravate erosion,
increase sediment loads or have any adverse effects on fish and
their habitat or other environmental values. If, during construc-
tion, it becomes necessary because of wet weather to ford otherwise
dry streambeds, Energy Fuels will place temporary culverts to avoid
environmental damage.
(d) Class I Roads shall be located to minimize downstream sedimentation
and flooding.
As shown on Energy Mines No. 1 and 2 Roads (Flap 35) and Eckman Park
Roads (Map 36), all Class I Roads have been located on moderately
sloped side hills and ridges, thereby minimizing erosion, downstream
sedimentation and flooding.
Section 816.152 Roads: Class I: Design and Construction.
Class I Roads shall be designed and constructed or reconstructed in
compliance with the following standards in order to control subsequent
erosion and disturbance cf the hydrologic balance:
(a) l%ertical alignment. Except where lesser grades are necessar,; to
control site-specific conditions, maximum road grades shall be as
follows:
•
816-178
