• photographed, and then will be bisected for profiles, which
will be drawn and photographed: C14 and flotation samples
will be collected. Four C14 samples (2/hearth) will be
run. Pollen and soil samples will be collected and stored.
,The excavation will continue until bedrock is exposed.
Monitoring
Monitoring of the site will be by a team of four
archaeologists with road graders. Initial sediment removal
will be in 2-3 centimeter swaths in an area approximately
60 x 90 meters. Seven working days have been budgeted for
this, so that if some stratigraphic levels are found to be
sterile, or if sediment removal is too slow, the thickness
• of swaths will be increased appropriately.
Formal tools, features, and some debitage will be
mapped with a transit when encountered. Formal tools will
be numbered and collected. Features will be rapidly cleaned,
photographed, and a C14 sample, if appropriate, will be
collected. Some debitage will be numbered and collected. If
the density of debitage is low enough to make total collection
practical, all will be collected.
All artifacts and samples, with the exception o£ those
samples mentioned in the Excavation Section, will be stored
at the University of Colorado Henderson Museum.
Analysis
Analysis will provide a site map, stratigraphic drawings,
• feature drawings, lithic analysis, radio-carbon dates, and
