Section 780.11(b) Continued.
Designs and specifications for the ponds have been prepared by and
under the supervision of qualified registered professional engineers.
The detailed designs and specifications, including descriptions and
cross sections for all sedimentation ponds, are presented in Exhibit
42, Drainage and Sediment Control Plan.
Theoretical detention times required to treat a 10-year, 24-hour
precipitation event have been employed in the design of all
sedimentation ponds. As designed, there will be no outflow through
the emergency spillway of any pond during the passage of the runoff
resulting from a 10-year, 24-hour precipitation event or any lesser
event. Initial phases of construction for sedimentation pond
embankments will include clearing of all unstable material, grading
of all surfaces to not steeper than 1:1, and scarifying the entire
embankment surface. In many cases, dense clay will be used as fill
material in sedimentation pond embankments. In no instance will
i
i
780-SbR Revised - January, 1991
