<br />tions that: tl,e operation will consist of only one editun-sized front-
<br />end loader and only one droop intck shall be loaded at any given time.
<br />Extraction of sand is to be limited to tl,e sand bar ocated on the west
<br />bank of the Animas River, w}iich is about 1 to 1.5 ac es in size. There
<br />shall be no stockpiling of materials, nor storage of any equipment,
<br />machinery or vehicles on t}:e site, except for t}, front-end loader
<br />during tl,e actual mining operation. There is to ben cnishi:,g, proces-
<br />sing or stockpiling of any materials on the site. Access shall be
<br />limited to solely off U. S. Hwy. 550. Hauling of aterials from tl,e
<br />site is to be limited to no more t},an five truck tri~s per day, and t1,e
<br />tnicks are to },ave no more than ten to twelve yards h cling capacity.
<br />3. Environmental Impacts: Noise: Given the roximity of resi-
<br />dences in the vicinity, vehicle and equipment operat ons may be audible
<br />to persons in t},e immediate area. In order to m tigate sucl, noise
<br />impacts, Ll.e operator should be required to have all equipment and
<br />vehicles on the site mufflered at all times. Tt,e ,ours of operation
<br />would be confined to daylight and in no case earlier than 7:30 a.m. nor
<br />later than 6:30 p.m. Ptonday through Saturday. T ere should be no
<br />cntsl,ing or other processing of materials conducted n the site at any
<br />time. All ],anling and equipment movement should a confined to the
<br />mining area and t},e haul road accessing U. S. Hwy. 55 .
<br />Dust: Given the site's proximity to res deuces in tl,e vi-
<br />cinity, any haul road to L•l,e site from U. S. Hwy. 550 s},ould be graveled
<br />to control dust. Tl,e operator should use appropri to techniques and
<br />materials to control any dust wl,icl, may be generate by tl,e extraction
<br />and loading operation, so as to prevent any detectabl levels of dust or
<br />particulates from leaving tl,e site.
<br />Odor: There should be no apparent signif cant adverse odors
<br />associated with tt,e proposed operation.
