Revised: 1 1 /98 <br />Section 816.1311b) Continued. <br />have been accomplished prior to cessation, and identification of the backfilling, <br />regrading, revegetaticn, environmental monitoring, and water treatment activities that <br />will continue during the temporary cessation of operations, Kerr will continue to the <br />extent possible all revegetation, environmental monitoring, and water treatment <br />activities. <br />Section 816,132 Cessation of Operations: Permanent. <br />(al Persons who cease surface mining activities permanently shall close or backfill or <br />otherwise permanently reclaim all affected areas, in accordance with this Chapter and <br />the permit approved by the regulatory authority. <br />On permanent cessation of surface mining operations, Kerr will close, backfill, <br />regrade, or otherwise reclaim all affected areas except for those facilities or areas, to <br />be retained in conjunction with postmining land use plans. Reclamation plans are <br />detailed in Sections 780.18, 780.21, 780.23, 780.25, and 780.27. The planned <br />sequence of reclamation activities for the Kerr Mine Area is shown on Map 33, Kerr <br />Mine Area Overburden Replacement, and Map 32, Kerr Mine Area Soil Replacement <br />and Revegetation. The projected postmining topography is shown by Map 37a, <br />Postmining Topography, and Map 38, Premining and Postmining Cross Sections. <br />Once mining operations cease, Kerr will reclaim the Kerr Tipple Area consistent with <br />the reference reclamation plans.
