MCC will identify and mark the road alignments and pad locations <br />prior to construction for review and approval by the responsible USFS representative. <br />MCC provided, under separate submittal, a road design, specifications, and <br />expected use standards as required by the USFS and CDMG for the Sylvester Gulch <br />Road. Construction of this road began in September, 2006 azid will be completed by July, <br />2007. <br />MCC will construct or uistall the temporary roads, drainage features, road <br />surfacing, MUTCD signs, gates, and other mitigation measures as defined in the field <br />with the responsible USFS representative. <br />MCC will construct a new life-of--mine drill road to bypass the portion of the road <br />above Two Ponds, known as the Beaver Slide. This ne~v route will provide alife-of- <br />mine access to all of the E seam MDW drilling planned post-2007. The route will also <br />provide a means to bypass the steep drainage above Two Ponds that has posed numerous <br />drainage challenges over the past few years. <br />MCC requests the ability to use pickup trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles, snow cats, <br />for primary access to the project area. Specific needs with respect to winter access to the <br />project area will be discussed at the winter operations meeting in the fall of 2007. Heavy <br />equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, dump trucks, backhoes, track hoes, <br />water trucks, maintainers, will be utilized to construct and maintain the roads during the <br />field season. Prior to road construction, MCC will consult the Forest Service. <br />
