<br />i1 <br />E.4 Previous Mining Disturbance Reclamation <br />E.4.1 Pit Area <br />' The mine pit created by the previous operator at the San <br /> Luis Project (known as the El Plomo Mine) will tie completely <br />' encompassed by the East Pit area. Reclamation of this <br /> disturbance cannot be separated From that of the East Pit and <br /> will be conducted as outlined in Section E.3.1.1. <br /> <br /> E.4.2 Old Heap Leach <br /> <br /> The old heap, which lies to the south of the East Pit, <br />' has revegetated through natural invasion. Vegetation is equal <br /> to that of the surrounding areas. Battle Mountain will test <br />' the material in the old heap for recoverable gold. If the <br />l h <br />l <br />l <br />f <br />ld <br />h <br />ld h <br />ll b <br /> materia <br />as recoverab <br />e va <br />ues o <br />go <br />, t <br />e o <br />eap wi <br />e <br /> recrushed and moved to the new heap leach area. The area of <br />' the old heap will then be ripped and graded. Pond liners will <br /> be folded in and graded over. A concrete embedded swimming pool <br />' presently below the old heap will be broken up and buried. <br /> Topsoil stockpiles are not believed present for the area of <br /> the old heap and, therefore, no topsoil will be replaced. The <br /> area will be seeded using the procedures outl.ine~i in Section <br /> E.2. <br />' <br />Monitoring conducted by the previous operator has shcwn <br />' that the old heap is completely neutralized. If recoverable <br />values of gold are not found in the old heap, then Battle <br />' Mountain will not disturb the heap. Final reclamation of the <br />old heap will be accomplished by folding in the pond liners <br />and breaking up and burying the old concrete embedded swimming <br />pool, followed by minor regrading of these areas anti reseeding. <br /> <br />1 <br />E-19 <br />
