Mr. Gilbert F. Rindahl - 4 - June 17, 1985
Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
We have reviewed the proposed reclamation costs and compared them with our own
costs sheets. We assume a maximum disturbed area of 7.3 acres, assuming the
topsoil pile/plant area exchange still remains as planned and that no slopes
will ever exceed 3H:1V or 2H:1V depending on depth. The last assumption for
grading is made since no costs are included for grading during reclamation.
The operator should be aware that these assumptions are extremely conservative
and they leave very little room to work. Subsequent bond adjustments may be
costly is terms of time and money.
The following calcuations are presented based on the above listed information:
Stock pile area (2 acres). -
Rip/Scarify - $150.92/Hr.
Approx. lAc./Hr.
(2) (150.92) _ $ 301 .84
Topsoil - 12" depth
3226.67 yds3
at $ .80/yd3 = 2,581 .34
Seeding - Average costs $15.00/lb
10.5 lb/Ac Z
(2) ( 157.50) = 315.00
Seedbed prep./drill - ($174.92/Ac) (2) = 349.84
Fertilizer - $50.00/Ac(2) = 100.00
Mulch (Hay) _ ($150.00/Ac) (2) = 300.00
Subtotal = $3,948.02
Road area (0.3 acres) -
Rip/Scarify - $150.92/Hr. _ $ 45.28
Topsoil - 12" depth
484 yds3
at $ .80/yd3 = 387.20
Seeding - (157.50) ( .3) = 47.25
Seedbed prep./drill - ($174.92/Ac)( .3) = 52.48
Fertilizer - ($50.00/Ac)( .3) = 15.00
Mulch (Hay) _ ($150.00/Ac) ( .3) = 45.00
Subtotal = $ 592.21
