Continue weed mapping efforts providing greater detail as to <br />acreage and density of infestation. <br />4. Designate a central repository to maintain records of infestations <br />and management plans and serve as a coordinating agency for plan <br />implementation. <br />5. Coordinate weed management plans to control weed infestations <br />involving multiple property owners to ensure consistency and follow-up. <br />6. Pursue cooperative weed management agreements with other <br />owners of public lands «ithin Pueblo County, i.e.,,,Colorado Department <br />of Transportation, Forest Service, State Board of Land Commissioners, <br />Bureau of Reclamation. Colorado Division of Pazks and Outdoor <br />Recreation, City of Pueblo,. Pueblo Conservancy District. <br />7. Provide technical assistance to landowners and occupants in the <br />development of effective weed management programs where necessary. <br />8. _ Monitor new developments. in weed management techniques and <br />update Plan .information at least every three years to reflect new <br />technology. <br />9. Develop educational programs and displays which can be utilized <br />at meetings by entities such as the: CSU Cooperative Extension, Farm <br />Bureau, Cattleman's Association, Farmer's Union, and Soil Conservation <br />Districts. <br />10. Develop educational brochures which can be distributed to <br />interested parties and to the media groups particularly focusing upon rural <br />and agricultural interest groups. <br />LONG-TERM GOALS (5-10 YEARS) <br />1. Develop a system to evaluate the effectiveness of weed <br />management pro~ams upon both private and public lands. <br />2. Continue and update weed mapping. <br />3. Evaluate and refine the County's weed manaeement program for <br />County-owned lands. <br />l9 <br />
