This corrective action will be coordinated with the CMLRD.
If maintenance or mitigation is required, Sun Coal Company will provide
maintenance of the road system at least on an annual basis and otherwise as
needed. Maintenance will probably occur in the spring following snow melt, and
all maintenance will be documented and provided to the Division in the annual
report. If, on the basis of any report by Sun Coal or by CMLRD, the Division
believes any component of the system will fail or has failed, a review of the
component will be initiated to determine maintenance needs, alternatives, and/or
mitigation.
In addition to monitoring the haul road, the reclaimed mine area will be
monitored for stability.
•
Sun Coal Company will regularly monitor the surface stability of the back-
filled area of the Meadows ifl mine. Sun Coal Company will submit these moni-
toying reports and a summary of such observations annuall to the Division
(Stipulation No. 1 issued October I, 1983).
Surface Water Monitoring
Surface water will be monitored pursuant to Technical Revisions 05 and 06
until the quality and quantity are consistent with baseline conditions and when
CMLRD has released Sun Coal Company of this monitoring obligation.
•
- 376 - (Rev. 5/86)
