• <br />SECTION 01051 -PROJECT COORDINATION ~ SCHEDULING <br />PART1-GENERAL <br />1.01 The Owner shall have the final authority in all matters of coordination throughout <br />the project. <br />1.02 A representative of the Owner shall be in contact with the Contractor on a <br />frequent and regular basis. This representative will coordinate the efforts of the <br />Contractor with other on-going work and/or future work at or near the site. <br />1.03 Specifically, the Contractor shall coordinate his activities with the following <br />whenever applicable: <br />A. Construction of the State Highway bridge over the North Fork of the Gunni- <br />son River. <br />B. Surveying and construction of the State Highway on either side of the <br />bridge. ' <br />C. The ongoing mining operations of the Bear Coal Company. <br />D. The work of the electrical contractor. <br />~• <br />v <br />E. The shop/warehouse contractor. <br />F. The coal handling system contractor. <br />G. Geologic investigations at the site. <br />H. The operations of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad. <br />I. All work of other contractors at the site who are under contract with the <br />Owner. <br />1.04 Schedule of Construction <br />All items to be constructed under this contract shall be constructed in the <br />following order: <br />A. The access road shall be constructed first. <br />B. Storm drainage facilities and ponds shall be constructed secondly or in <br />conjunction with the road. <br />C. All other items will be constructed after the road, drainage, and pond work <br />is complete. <br />r, <br />f_J <br />D. Asphalt paving will not be done until the heavy grading work is completed, <br />and the Owner authorizes paving. <br />01051-1 <br />
