SECTION 01051 -PROJECT COORDINATION ~ SCHEDULING
PART1-GENERAL
1.01 The Owner shall have the final authority in all matters of coordination throughout
the project.
1.02 A representative of the Owner shall be in contact with the Contractor on a
frequent and regular basis. This representative will coordinate the efforts of the
Contractor with other on-going work and/or future work at or near the site.
1.03 Specifically, the Contractor shall coordinate his activities with the following
whenever applicable:
A. Construction of the State Highway bridge over the North Fork of the Gunni-
son River.
B. Surveying and construction of the State Highway on either side of the
bridge. '
C. The ongoing mining operations of the Bear Coal Company.
D. The work of the electrical contractor.

E. The shop/warehouse contractor.
F. The coal handling system contractor.
G. Geologic investigations at the site.
H. The operations of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad.
I. All work of other contractors at the site who are under contract with the
Owner.
1.04 Schedule of Construction
All items to be constructed under this contract shall be constructed in the
following order:
A. The access road shall be constructed first.
B. Storm drainage facilities and ponds shall be constructed secondly or in
conjunction with the road.
C. All other items will be constructed after the road, drainage, and pond work
is complete.

D. Asphalt paving will not be done until the heavy grading work is completed,
and the Owner authorizes paving.
