1.06 Correction of Work • <br />The Contractor shall promptly remove from the premises all Work rejected by the <br />Owner for failure to comply with the Contract Documents, whether incorporated in <br />the construction or not, and the Contractor shall promptly replace and re-execute <br />the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and without expense to the <br />Owner and shall bear the expense of making good all Work of other Contractors <br />destroyed or damaged by such removal or replacement. <br />All removal and replacement Work shall be done at the Contractor's expense. If <br />- the Contractor does not take action to remove such rejected Work within ten (10) <br />' days after receipt of written notice, the Owner may remove such Work and store <br />the materials at the expense of the Contractor. <br />f 1.07 Operation of the Bear Mine During Construction <br />The construction of this project shall in no way damage the ongoing operations of <br />•- the Bear Coal Company. Coordination and cooperation with Mr. Bill Bear or other <br />designated representatives of the Bear Coa] Compeny is mandatory. <br />1.08 Environmental Considerations <br />' The Contractor shall at all times keep the disturbance to vegetation and wildlife to <br />a minimum. <br />1.09 Access • <br />Mine access will be coordinated with the Colorado Division of Highway's planned <br />3.5 mile highway relocation of Route 133 which will provide a permanent heavy- <br />duty bridge to the property. This bridge should be available for use by ARCO <br />contractors by April, 1981. A temporary earthen access bridge is provided by the <br />State Highway in conjunction with the construction of the new heavy duty bridge. <br />The Contractor may use this bridge until the permanent bridge is constructed. The <br />Contractor shall coordinate his activities and use of this bridge with ARCO and the <br />I State Highway contractor. <br />~- <br />During construction, short-term access across the river to the mine site may be <br />~ provided via ARCO's existing bridge currently serving the Bear Mine.
