SECTION 01080 -APPLICABLE CODES <br />PART1-GENERAL <br />,- <br />1.01 The Contractor shall at all times comply with all applicable Codes, Regulations, <br />Standards, Rules and Directives which are legally in force at the time of <br />construction of this project. <br />1.02 The Contractor shall specifically comply with the following: <br />A. Uniform Building Code <br />B. Uniform Mechanical Code <br />C. Uniform Plumbing Code <br />D. Uniform Fire Code <br />E. Life Safety Code <br />F. National IIectrical Code <br />G. Colorado Department of Health Plumbing Code <br />H. Applicable portions of the Williams-Steiger Safety and Health Act, Public <br />Law 91-596. <br />I. Office of Surface Mining (OSM). All Regulations. <br />J. Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board. All Regulations. <br />K. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). All Regulations. <br />1.03 In case of conflict between referenced applicable codes, the one having the more <br />stringent requirements shall govern. Drawings and Specifications shall be followed <br />where they are superior to code requirements. <br />1.04 Safety of Construction Operations <br />Protection of life, health end public welfare es it relates to execution of the con- <br />struction contract is the responsibility of the Contractor. The Owner will not <br />provide observation, inspection, supervision, or any comment on plans, procedures, <br />or actions employed at the project 8s they relate to safety of life, health, or public <br />welfare. If conditions are imposed by the Owner which interfere with, or imply <br />actions detrimental to safety, written notice shall be issued by the Contractor and <br />a decision shall be returned to the Contractor for action prior to effecting any <br />unsafe conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />• <br />01080-1 <br />
