i• <br />C, <br />J <br />• <br />determined by MLRD later. <br />This report presents the results of the Phase 2 studies. <br />It deals only with the North Fork Gunnison River AVF as the <br />Stevens Gulch alluvium is excluded from the AVF determination. <br />1.2 SCOPE OF WORK <br />The results of Phase 1 of this study, presented in the <br />above referenced report, included detailed information on the <br />geologic, hydrologic, land use, soils and vegetation <br />characteristics of the potential AVF areas. <br />In Phase 2 of the study more detailed data about the <br />surface and ground water hydrology pertaining to the essential <br />hydrologic functions are presented together with a plan showing <br />measures of restoring the affected areas after the termination of <br />mining activities. <br />Because of the continuity of Phases 1 and 2 of the <br />project, the information included in the report of Phase 1 is not <br />repeated. <br />2 <br />GEO•HYDRO CONSULTING, INC. <br />
