-6-
and when they were drilled. Also, please be advised that any future
drilling must be approved by the Division prior to undertaking these
activities. If there are no drill holes, Blue Flame should delete this
discussion.
2.05.5 Post-Mining Land Use
1. Once Biue Flame has successfully obtained the air emission permit,
please submit a copy for our files.
2. Concern 2 of our March 3rd letter still needs to be addressed.
2.10 Maps and Plans
1. The Division is perplexed as to why the submitted maps do not contain
the required certification as specified via Rule 2.10.3(2). Mr. Meiers
had several conversations about this matter with the Division and was
informed that the requirements of this rule must be met. If Mr. Meiers
is a registered, professional geologist then he needs to sign and
certify each submitted map. If Mr. Meiers is not, then Blue Flame
needs to get someone that does meet the specifications of Rule
2.10.3(2) to sign and stamp each submitted map. (This need for
certification applies to all maps save the Mine Plan View which does
contain the required information. The Geologic Map does have a stamp,
however, we need the original certification and signature.)
2. Based on our review of the submitted maps, it is unclear if or which
access road(s) is to be included into the permit. One or both access
roads needs to be clearly marked within the proposed permit boundaries
as requested under points 1.A. and l.e of our March 3 letter.
4.02 Signs and Markers
1. As requested in our earlier letter, "Blue Flame should specify...the
type of perimeter markers to be installed around the affected area".
2. 1f both access roads will be utilized, then Blue Flame will need to
install a mine identification sign at each entrance.
3. Blue Flame should specify the type of marker to be used to demark the
topsoil pile (see Rule 4.02.7).
4.03 Roads
The Division is unable to approve retention of the roads into this site
as part of the relcamation plan unless the requirements of Rule
4.03.1(1)(f) are satisfied.
